We decorated the tree! The great thing about getting all of our ornaments at this time of year, is that everything was half off. I was surprised to discover that most of the craft store type ornaments fell pretty flat. Too much sparkle and glitter and glass. We found the greatest little things at Target. Felt, wood and stuffed animals. Leilani was a fan.
When Ryan proposed to me in my parent's backyard, he bought a lot of different lights to make the yard all twinkly. We still have them and used a lot on the tree! It was Ryan's idea to use the different bulbs. I love how the bigger bulbs look like bubbles. I thought they added a really unique and fun touch! We now have a distinctively "us" tree. Poor tree though, despite following all the tips for helping the tree stay hydrated, it seems to be drinking rather slow and is dropping a lot of needls... Sure is pretty though!
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
