At last... Beach pictures.

Way back in June, we went to Ocean City for the beginning of our summer festivities. Ryan and Leilani and I went down on a Sunday, and were joined on Tuesday by Ryan's cousins and their children. We had a blast.

Leilani loves her stroller and sunglasses.

Once it got warm out this year, I had started bringing Lei to the playground to play in the sandbox. The beach was the best thing ever in her mind. Sand EVERYWHERE and new sand toys to share, and other little kids to play with, and juice boxes galore. Baby bliss.

Her Dada, and uncles hung out in the sand with her and her other little cousin, while  all the Mommies...

Wave jumped. I felt just like a kid again. Rediscovering the beach with my more adventurous cousins was utterly grand. We all got wet, sandy and gross and had such marvelous fun while doing it. I felt truly able to relax that week. Leilani woke up like this every morning:

She was over the moon to have so much family around from the moment she woke up, to the moment she went to sleep.

She loved it. I loved it. We all loved it. It was wonderful for her to get to know all of her cousins and her Uncles and Athais. The week went by much too quickly. They day after we got home, we had to get together one last time with her youngest cousins. After so much time with people all around for her to play with, coming home has been a hard adjustment.

I am thankful for so much wonderful family, and the opportunity to spend so much time with them all!
